No one can escape death and unhappiness. If people expect only happiness in life, they will be disappointed

Mind is the ground and thoughts are seeds. Our faults are weeds. Pulling them out is like weeding a garden. The harvest is real and gives us lasting happiness.
People follow different religion. All religions take you on the right path. Paths are many but the ultimate destiny is one, that is God.

The Buddha said, “No one can escape death and unhappiness. If people expect only happiness in life, they will be disappointed. "

Once there was a woman named Kisagotami. Her first son had died. She was very sad. She roamed about the streets carrying the dead body. She asked for help to bring her son back to life. A kind and wise man took her to Buddha.
Gautama Buddha told her, “Fetch me a handful of mustard seeds. They must come from a family that has not known death and I will bring your child back to life." Kisagotami started off joyfully to get them.

She went from door to door in the whole village asking for the mustard seeds but everyone said, “I lost my father", “I lost my sister ". She could not find a single household that had not been visited by death. Finally Kisagotami returned to Buddha and said, “There is death in every family. Now Kisagotami understands that everyone dies. No one can escape death and unhappiness.

A man who sold his father's property and enjoyed with that money - He always forgives those who beg for pardon

Once upon a time, there was a man. He had two sons. The younger son said to his father, “ Father, please divide the property and I want my share now." Father divided the property between his sons. The elder son remained at home and younger son sold his share and collected everything and left for another country. He was an irresponsible young man. He spent his wealth lavishly, while he had money in his pocket, he had many friends who enjoyed his company. His so-called friends deserted him. He searched for a job.

A man enjoyed him to take care of his pigs. This was a very degrading work for a son of a wealthy man. But he was first ashamed and afraid to go back to face his father. He was not sure what his father would say. He wasn't sure whether his father would accept him in his house. On the other hand his life was miserable in the pigsty. His employer was an unjust man. He would not give him food to eat. Sometimes he had to steal  the food of the pigs to satisfy his hunger.

One day he decided to go back to his father and beg his pardon. Even if his father doesn't receive him back as his son, he would be willing to be employed as a paid servant. He walked back to his house. It was a long trek. His father, contrary to his son's fears, was actually waiting for him. He saw his son in tatters coming towards him. He ran and embraced him. The son said all that he had rehearsed to tell his father. The father was so happy that his son had returned and did not pay attention to what the son was saying. He arranged a banquet in honour of his son. He got him the best dress and a gold ring as a token of love. The ring was a sign that the father had accepted him as his son and heir.

The elder brother was away from home when his brother returned. As he came, he could hear the sound of celebration. He asked the servant what had been going on. The servant told him that his brother had returned home and father had arranged a celebration for his welcome.

The elder brother was so angry that he refused to enter the house. The news reached the ears of the father. He came out of the house to meet his elder son. He begged him to come and join the celebration. But he refused. He had few angry words for his father. He said, “ I have been serving you faithfully and you took me for granted. Now this sinner son of yours has returned and you treated him like a dignitary. "

The elder son accused his father and his brother. He did not address his  brother as ‘ my brother ' but ‘this sinner son of yours'. He decided to leave.

Perseverance Brings Success

Hard work is the key of success. Success leads to happiness. So let us not be discouraged by failures.
You know Abraham Lincoln was one of the greatest Present of United States of America. His life tells us how one can be successful in spite of repeated failures in his life.

At the age of twenty one he was unsuccessful in business. He was defeated in a legislative race at the age of twenty two. He failed again in business at the age of twenty four. He overcame the death of his sweetheart at the age of twenty six. He had a nervous breakdown at the age of twenty seven. He lost a congressional race at thirty four and lost a senatorial race at forty five. He again failed in an effort to become vice president at the age of forty seven. He lost another senatorial race at age of forty nine.

In spite of all his failures, he was elected President of the United States of America at the age of fifty two. Nine failures and one success! But his aim was not just to become the US president and thus become popular. When he became president, the first things he did was abolish slavery. For thirty one years he had to struggle in his attempts. He had to face all kinds of odds and failures to achieve such a great success.

Life has purpose. The ultimate goal of life is to attain happiness. Obstacles do come in your way. With confidence and president efforts, you can overcome obstacles. If you persevere in your efforts, success will be yours.

I'm A Blind Man, and my world is pale

All day long I think about how many steps I take, and what I have to do next. What time is it? When waking up in the middle of the night as totally blind man with no sense of light or dark, the answer to this question isn't always as simple to answer as it seems. It isn't as easy as viewing the red dials of a digital clock, or looking at the light coming through the curtains. My sight remains permanently foggy at whatever time of day or night, although I am not completely in the dark all I see is a constant snow storm!

A blind man is a man whose inner eye failed to see, whose deep conscious did not protect him primarily from himself. His world is indeed pale. He has only the right to cry in the moment, and pain is chewing his bare soul.

If you're living close the door.
I'm not expecting people anymore.
Hear me grieving, I'm lying on the floor.
Whether I'm drunk or dead I really ain't too sure.

I'm a blind man, and my world is pale.
When the blind man cries, Lord, you know there ain't no shadder tale.

There are very less people who are aware of Ashwatthama from the Mahabharat since Arjun, Duryodhan, Bheem, Krishna and other characters took all the attention. But Ashwatthama was the only one who played an important role in Mahabharat. He was the one who changed the end of Kurukshetra war.

Mahabharata war also called Kurushketra war was happened between the Pandavas and the Kauravas in 3139 BC. In the end of Kurushketra war Duryodhana was killed by Bheema, only one warrior left alive from the Kauravas side he is Ashwatthama. The Pandavas won the Kurushketra war and ruled 36 years 8 months until the begining of Kaliyug in 3102 BC.

Ashwatthama was the son of Dronacharya and Kripi. Ashwatthama along with his father Guru Dronacharya fought in the battle of Mahabharat from the Kauravas side against Pandavas.

Ashwatthama got scared and ran into Ved Vyasa's Ashram and seeked protection from the great sage. The Pandavas arrived their along with lord Krishna. Within no time Bheema proceeded to trash Ashwatthama to death. At this moment Ashwatthama sensed danger and shot the Brahmastra towards Pandavas. In retaliation, Arjun ( one of Pandavas ) also shot Brahmastra. Lord Krishna knew about the extent of destruction this could lead to, asked Vyasa to stop the Brahmastra from colliding with each other. Vyasa intercepted and held both the Brahmastra in the air and Lord Krishna instructed both Arjun and Ashwatthama to withdraw their weapons. Arjun withdraw his Brahmastra, however Ashwatthama said he only knew to shoot it but did not know how to withdraw it. Then Lord Krishna requested Lord Brahma to pacify his weapon. Brahma said the weapon can pacify only when Pandava becomes a target to it. Finally Brahmastra was redirected towards Uttara's womb where Abhimanyu's son ( a Pandava ) was growing. Lord Krishna was angry with Ashwatthama and he decided to curse Ashwatthama to avenge the destruction of Pandava's lineage. Krishna demanded that Ashwatthama to remove his protective jewel from his head. Krishna forced him to do so. Then he cursed Ashwatthama with terrible leprosy that would haunt him 5000 years.
